| Having a Yard Sale this weekend. Have been working on this |
|
for weeks. Posted an ad on Craigslist today and have received many e-mails asking if I have certain items for sale. Nuts. Most of us just drive around and follow signs. I never would even consider e-mailing someone to ask about the contents of their sale.
I will not answer, I don't want these people to have a reply and my e-mail address included with it.
I'd rather sit here and post about how rude I think it is.
Maybe it's just me.

| 1. It is rude, like the dealers and such who show up real early in the morning, |
|
long before the start time of the yard sale.

| 5. Uh oh. Guilty as charged. |

 This morning there were 2 simultaneous church sales and I wanted to go to both, so I picked the church with the friendliest people and showed up an hour early. They let me in and I shopped to my heart's content. Unfortunately, there was nothing too exciting to be had at either church.

| 6. That's part of the reason I'm reluctant to have a yard sale. |

I need to sell a lot of things as I clean out the house, but I'd have enough trouble getting myself up early enough to hold a yard sale, without having folks ringing my bell extremely early in the morning. I also haven't had the time to do proper research into the value of things that I have; if anything I have is worth a lot (which I doubt, but you never know), I'd hate to let it go for a song.

| 4. I think you all know where I'm going with this. It is not the dealers, it |
|
is the Chutzpah of e-mailing with questions. You can see by the time of this post, that I've got to get to work. First things first. Must check DU. I'll bookmark this for future reference in case I find some White Mountain postcards or some great old fountain pens. Then can I e-mail you?
You know I was a dealer in another life but even then, I know I would never have done this e-mai.
NOTE TO SELF: There was no internet then, dummy!
