Or maybe it's Sisters Pickers. On the Lifetime channel. Frank and Mike on History channel promoted it tonight.

|
The stuff they buy drives me crazy. Don't they ever look for a good piece of art or pottery? It seems like it's always old oil cans, rusty signs and decrepit bikes.

Two good-looking young women go out on the road to pick and this is what they buy:
ultra-heavy industrial chain -- 1500 lb. of it
copper headboard for a bed
a beat up old lightboard sign
rusty rims for truck tires
the wood from a whole small house
round coils of rusty barbed wire
rusty this
broken that
from the chain they made table legs
from the headboard they made a settee
from the lightboard sign they made a lighted wall piece
from the wood, they built adirondack chairs
from the coils of barbed wire, they made hanging lamps
and so on....
The girls were well received by the geezers and scrappers out on the road. Lots of winking and hugging and stuff going on. They were digging in some mighty dirty piles, but their hair, clothes and manicures were sensational.
At least they didn't fancy oil cans ----- yet.

| 5. watched sister pickers tonight. my critique: |
|
The sisters are silly, dress ridiculously, the show moves like a snail, stuff they come up with is dumb (except for the metal "acid changing box" bar). It comes on opposite to the Ed Show, and is not worth the time or effort for me to watch again. This show has nowhere the personality and show production quality that American Pickers has.

The blond valley girl is unwatchable.
Most encounters with the old guys they buy stuff from look like intros to porn flicks.

not feel compelled to watch a second time. I will say they do know how to get what they need. I am getting tired of Frank and Mike I like Storage Wars and Auction Hunters and Auction Kings right now. Oddities was a little too odd for me for regular viewing. Dirty Money is OK I guess, he calls his son Rat Boy which I don't like too much at all. Have not seen the new Nat Geo flea. The shows come and go I have not seen a lot of advertising for Pawn Queens and that other show about the generational antique dealers. I like Pawn Stars it is kind of a trippy Leave it to Beaver with Chumlee as Lumpy Rutherford.

I'm really, really tired of the old signs/rusty stuff/garbage picking shows. That includes American Pickers, too. I have stumbled across a show I like, though. It features the Keno brothers and is called "Buried Treasure." Unfortunately, it's on Fox, but that's life. (Edited to add that the show is on tonight.)

That sounds good. Thanks for the tip.
Is it Fox News? Or another Fox variation?

I watched it last night, and it was a lot of fun!
Boy, did I want a piece of the action at the house of the brother. Not for the buried gold, but just to poke around. That was a fantastic building for pickers.
The brothers are just a wee bit too dramatic, but....

|
That's a knock on production values, not the women themselves. But the show sorta squicked me as being a little off base
