the start of the convention or before the VP speech.

I hope the VP knows. I'd hate to give that speech on short notice. And shouldn't the other speakers know, so none of them are going to say something that wouldn't mesh with the ticket?

3. There's speculation (what else?) that

when Obama met with Kaine briefly it was to let him know he wasn't the "one". That maybe Obama was meeting with those who weren't chosen and letting them know personally.

Don't know when/if he's going to see Bayh - :shrug:

I've heard that really, only a handful of people know, which is amazing Now, maybe we can add Kaine to that list?
