I hope Joe doesn't come to regret his decision to accept. I personally do not think he can be muzzled. If they try he will not be a happy camper and neither will I.

but we do have to remember that he's speaking FOR the Presidential nominee -- so there are some guidelines he has to follow which he wouldn't necessarily adhere to if he were on his own.

BUT, seeing Joe lately as an Obama surrogate, even though he said he wasn't speaking for Obama, is probably an indication of what we're in for. Basically saying how wrong McCain is and how right Obama is, with a jab thrown in here and there.
