Between Phalin and Michelle Bachmann I feel like I am living in the McCarthy era and I was born in 1975! These people are certified nuts and thank God we have Joe and Barack to turn to as normal decent politicians.

4. You are so right -- it's almost like the McCarthy era! Although that was before

my time (barely, I was alive but not old enough to pay attention) as we look back on it now we realize that insanity and fear ruled the country. Innocent people being branded Commies and real witch hunts going on. We think "whew! we were nuts!". Yet, we're doing it again, and don't see it happening. We're seeing our government take more and more power away from us, yet we don't see that happening either (the comparison to Hitler's Germany would never be considered). WE NEVER LEARN.
