Julian Assange singles out Lula for his support

O fundador do WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, disse que é maravilhoso sair do confinamento com o apoio de "pessoas perto do poder", como o presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

The founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, said that it was wonderful to be out of jail with the support of "persons close to power," such as President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

" é um caso especial, porque está deixando o cargo, e isso lhe permite ser mais direto do que havia sido. Já não tem que mostrar nenhuma lealdade aos Estados Unidos", disse Assange ao "El País".

"(Lula) is a special case, because he is leaving the (presidency) and that allows him to be more direct than he could have been. Now he does not have to show any loyalty to the United States," Assange told "El Pais" (newspaper of Madrid in an interview).
