VHeadline News Editor Patrick J. O'Donoghue reports: Earlier yesterday the opposition Democratic Unitary Alliance (MUD) called on President Chavez to revoke an award conferred on Colonel Gaddafi and to ask for the return of a replica of Simon Bolivar's sword.
In a provocative communique, the MUD stated that Gaddafi has nothing to do with the Venezuelan Liberator's ideals. The opposition is now suggesting that the award and sword should never have been given to Gaddafi in the first place.
Furthermore, the opposition has come out in support of UN resolutions against Gaddafi.
The communique rejected violence in that country and the "irresponsible" declarations of the Chavez administration.
