This CBS poll (pre-vote) is acually pretty good news. People hate congress and dislike healthcare reform but the "don't know" and "no difference" cohorts are large on almost every question.

People are simultaneously opposed and agnostic... we do not, as a nation, really have a speciffic opinion. And that means the issue can be sold... people's minds are not made up.

The "don't know" thing is most striking in this question. People want to throw the bums out but aren't sure just who the bums are.

54% of Americans still aren’t sure whether their own Representative’s position on the bill is in line with their own views. Republicans, Democrats, and independents are equally unsure.
