He was never charged, because he was not "caught in the act" of committing a crime. It is doubtful anything could be "proven"


Nonetheless:

He reigned as governor
He destroyed his polical aspirations
He was publicly humiliated

The guy has a right to earn a living.

Yes, he has a right to earn a living, and I have the right to turn the channel when he comes on, or vote against him if he should appear on a ballot. He's lost any credibility that he's had, and that makes him worthless in the eyes of those who would be subjected to his advice on a TV show, or his political decisions should he decide to seek elected office.

He has lost a lot including a very obvious pathway to the presidency, He's not a particularly sympathetic guy. but It is sad to see a guy with such a bright future fall so fast. ANd again he has the right to make a living and we have the right to forgive him and let him move on.

But the power to keep and hold respect was always in his hands. He's the one who blew it by saying, do as I say, and not as I do. If MSNBC or Faux, or anybody else wants to put him on their private payroll, that's their business, but don't expect me to watch.

He prosecuted people for prostitution.

That's the big problem people have with Spitzer: the smug hypocrisy of the guy, not the hiring of prostitutes as such.
