If we have 51 or 53, what's the difference. Lets have some members that we can count on.
Take Lieberman's chairmanship away. Let Nelson sit with Rand Paul.

Lieberman will most likely face a tough Senate race against a Dem and Nelson will have a tough race against a Repub. CT stayed pretty blue tonight and Nebraska is staying really red.

For Nelson the Republicans don't really like him. His base are the independents who can vote in the GE If he switches parties he's done Liberman is rather unpopular in the state and he's close to being finished. If he jumped ship he'd be done.
Nelson needs the Democrats to stay in office.
