| So i guess this means Bush's Tax Cut extensions for the Rich is Likely to Happen :( |
|
My guess is this extension bill will pass the House easily and through minimal pressure make it through the Senate and then because Obama has clearly indicated he will not veto a bill that extends Tax Cuts fort he rich if it also extends to the middle-class as well, he will not hesitate to sign it into law...and pretty much sealing America's debt fate.
Obviously repubs just want tax cuts for the rich ONLY but, even though it will have no problems passing in the Senate Obama will very likely veto it (at least i hope he is strong enough to)...so my guess is repubs will just get what they want by giving a little to the peasants so that Obama will sign it.
I personally hate these tax cuts and want to see ALL of it expire but all indications seem to indicate these tax cuts will be extended for 1-2 years...enough time to make it to the next election where Republicans will have a chance to make them permanent for the super rich.
Here is hoping Obama becomes strong and vetos the damn thing -- no matter what is in it. These tax cuts must go!
Capitulation is one of the main reasons we are in this mess so i am hoping the WH shifts course and realizes they have nothing to lose by finally fighting for their base...at least they can go out with respect.
Stay strong Mr. President! Here is hoping for a WH shift towards being real fighers for the final 2 years!

| 2. I think Obama wants to preserve every one of the Bush tax cuts. |
|
He just needs to make it look like he's kinda putting up a fight. Watch what he does.

The best deal they are going to get offered is the decoupling of the middle class taxes from the taxes on the wealthy.
