Anyway, I would like to share this from my Profile.. and I got it from another DU'er who posted it last year I think.. I think it really speaks to all of us coming from all our divergent points of view.. but in the end, hopefully, having the same goals:

6. They used to list actual post counts over 1,000.

I think people started using their counts as a sort of false indicant of credibility, so the admin quit listing counts over 1000. In the early days, there were certain rites of passage, e.g. when you got to 700 posts, you were in the "700 Club" and tried to get out as soon as possible. There were a lot of nonsensical one-word posts & one-word duet threads perpetrated by people trying to get out. I recall that Zomby Woof & I played some of those games, which were very frustrating for me because I was on dialup back in 2001.
