.... they both thrive off of folks doing exactly what we're doing in this thread. They say things for shock value and then sit back and count the $$.

19. Yep. I cringed when he said this. However, intent is important. When Repukes

say stuff like this, we know that their intent is for ill. Bill Maher supports the president, notwithstanding his disappointment. We know that he wants the president to succeed. The Republicans? They dislike and disrespect the president. If they were to say something like this, we know that they mean harm.

18. I still strongly believe that Bill is right about Jon Stewart re: the false equivalency

issue. I believe that Jon is simply wrong on this point. And yes, as much as I love Randi Rhodes, her show was full of shit last week in her defense of Jon and going after Rachel and Keith on this.

Not a huge fan of Maher's, but he spoke the truth, imo. Made some good points.
