I guess I have to admit that all Republicans aren't bigoted, hateful, cold hearted, assholes...

| 6. he was well-respected and even liked as mayor of Cleveland |
|
Less so as governor, mostly unreasonable as a Senator - he repeatedly folded under pressure to stay in the Republican fold. But at heart he's always been a good man, if weak and easily pressured.

He is responsible for decimating the Ohio School system by stripping funding from the schools. He also turned Cleveland into a corporate money machine by making building impossible for any developer without the nudge of massive property tax give aways which starved the Cleveland School System...
Those are two things I will never forgive him for.
He would have never voted for DADT if he wasn't retiring.
BTW, he was the corporate tool they got to run against DK after DK had made Cleveland Power into a real public utility.
Oh yea, you know that he stopped the ability of medicare and medicaid people from purchasing medical devices so that his LARGE contributors could still soak the system form billions of dollars by renting stuff for years to people with chronic disease!
This guy is a son of a bitch who has somehow been able to convince people that he is saintly.
Fuck him now, fuck him later and fuck him for ever...

We moved to Bedford Hts. when Ralph Perk was still mayor, so that tells you how long it's been. That's when Jimmy Dimora was mayor of Bedford Hts, btw. Crimony.

I swear he did nothing wrong when I was handling his books. I left in 2001 so everything that happened to him was not on my watch...

I guess the temptation got to be too much? Or was it the people surrounding him that made it easier?
I don't know. I'm in accounting, and while millions of dollars don't flow through my hands, thousands do, and I have never been tempted to, let's say, detour some live checks. So it amazes me when people do stupid things. The perp-walk alone would kill me, not to mention the disappointment I would see in the eyes of people I love. THAT I couldn't stand. Besides, I'd lose my dogs. No amount of money is worth that.

| 11. The PD hated him for beating out Timmy Hagan for the party Chair |
|
and then for beating Sweeney for the Cornish job in 1998.
That was a very fun election, going after Pat who I worked for back in the late 70's. I knew he was lazy and I knew we could beat him and we did.
Jimmy was palling around too much with Russo and I warned him about Russo.
After that, well, we kind of went out separate ways...
I feel bad about his fall from grace because he did, at one time, have a very big heart and actually cared about people.
