White House Staff: It Gets Better

Inspired by President Obama’s It Gets Better video, several LGBT White House staffers decided to add their voices to the project. President Obama has more LGBT appointees than any previous administration and he is committed to making his administration reflect the diversity of our nation.

The Trevor Project

BullyingInfo.org is a project of the Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs (IWGYP) focused on providing tools and resources for youth, parents, teachers and mental health providers to prevent and address bullying.

I'm coming to believe the only reason Obama now publicly opposes full equality of LGBT people (e.g., same-sex marriage) even though he supported it as Senator, is because he's mindful of the polls. As public sentiment changes for the better, even over the next few years, if he gets a second term, hopefully he'll come back around and sign a law legalizing same-sex marriage, should a more liberal Congress get elected in 2012 or 2014 and present a bill for him.

Obama clearly cares about LGBT people and supports them as much as he can get away with in this challenging climate today.
