| 1. I tell you what. I disagree with those who say this won't affect |

the election or it will be forgotten three months from now. Obama delivered a very hard body blow with the capture of Bin Laden. It's something that goes deep down in the gut. A feeling, a kind of certainty. There can be no more debate about whether he is competent, Presidential, etc. People will not admit it, but I think they feel a tad bit safer with Obama in there.

| 3. Here is the thing though. |
|
Only 4% in a recent poll said terrorism/national security was their primary focus. The top three answers in the poll by a long shot were economic issues (jobs, gas prices, deficit/debt). In mid-1991 Poppy Bush had a nearly 90% approval rating due to national security issues. But by the time the election came around in November 1992, the only thing anyone cared about was economic issues.

... killing Osama is in a whole nother territory than "terrorism/national security". Americans have always wanted him caught or killed, whether the economy was good or bad.
Killing that mass murderer is a BFD.

It is definitely a BFD. It might end up being the biggest thing in the entire Obama presidency when it's all said and done. But I still think Americans are going to vote primarily based on what is having the biggest impact on their day-to-day life in mid/late 2012. Jobs are the biggest thing. Gas prices are the second biggest thing.

| 4. Yes....but the "I-wish-for-him-to-fail" contigency will continue to tell you |
|
that this will have no long term effect, and compare him to George H. Bush, the only other one termer they can think of now that they can't say he's like Carter.
Personally, I believe that it won't have the kind of an effect it would with any other President, but I know the reason, and it has less to do with the economy than folks insist.

from the info from the complex. They have to move fast on this info, before whatever cells may be in those records move elsewhere. I'm sure there are bank records and addresses of the faithful...it could get really interesting in the coming weeks...
People will remember this take-down.
On edit: and further, I don't even think they have to remember...many have already out-right declared he's won their vote, so I'm sure many have already made up their minds.
