Not to mention he was a Rush fan and super huge rethug radio host until he realized he could make more money by changing his tune.

You appear to be agreeing with another Poster that Ed is less than satisfying. I kinda contradicts the outrage in your OP, with Ms. Samuels.

probably 6 or 7 years ago. He freely admits he is a former Republican. I can't remember what the circumstances that made him turn. And his turn has been an evolution. When I started listening, Ed still had some right wing views. I believe he was kind of anti-union among other things. You could hardly say that today. But every once in a while Ed would have an epiphany on an issue. He would come on the air and explain how his position had shifted. So right before our eyes, Ed went from a former repug, to one of the most outspoken liberals around.
I wasn't an Ed fan at first, but I am a huge Ed fan today. We saw a man open his mind and saw what can happen when one does that. I think many of us, including myself, flirted with the dark side on occasion, especially in the formative years. Let's face it - the Democratic Party often leaves a sour taste in our mouths with some of the deals they do.

|
I used search and there are comments on the JK group (because I know the posters) and he was a Democrat back to the beginning of that group - he is first mentioned in April 2005 - he liked Hillary at that point. Kerry impressed him, but he didn't want him to run again. There are comments that Kennedy went on his show (said in past tense - I think speaking of at least 2004.)

PUMA turned birther. Much of her rants about Obama have been taken directly from places like Free Republic.
She might not like Ed Schultz, but she hates Obama for taking the place that she feels rightfully belonged to Hillary Clinton.

When she was on WABC radio back in the 1990s, she called Bill a Republican and Hillary a bitch, now she's all hunky dory with them?
Does she actually believe that Hillary would govern differently than Obama? Some "liberal" she is. Thank goodness I don't have Sirius Radio, I'd call her up and give her a piece of my mind.

...open-minded, but,... (not "open-minded but...)
post if... (not "post , if)
"Sorry." Incomplete sentence.
Generally improper sentence structure throughout (which I'm often guilty of, but don't play grammar/spelling Nazi on TV). I may be wrong, but...tsk, tsk, tsk.
Read the post, anyway. You'll feel better about yourself.

She supported Hillary and never got over Obama winning out.
Not a loss if they did drop her programming with the consolidation of SiriusXM left channels. It is too bad they didn't do the same with Alex Bennett.

filthy mouth, screechy voice, and her constant tearing down of President Obama. How can she be on "Talk Left Radio?" As soon as I hear her theme music, I quickly turn the radio off or change stations. Is it true Sirius is canceling her program? I certainly hope so and then maybe they can put Bill Press on later or give Thom Hartmann more than an hour.

| 17. Not exactly the subject of this thread, but another comment.... |
|
on Sirius/XM programming: Why the heck is Alex Bennett on the new supposed Left station???? Anyone have to endure his show???? He comes on now late in the day on XM 167. I cannot listen to him any more. He seldom mentions politics, and when he does, has extremely cynical, uninformed, shoot from the hip viewpoints; he is vulgar, misogynistic, has boring cohorts, few callers, no guests, complains about his health incessantly. Yet he is now going to replace two hours of Bill Press on the the new Left station in the morning.
I love Bill Press: classy, smart, funny, great guests, a noted author and pundit. But he is only going to be on for one hour. The early morning hours are my favorite hours for satellite radio. We have no other local stations airing progressive talk.
I'm mad. I've written XM about Bennett, but no response in the past. Anyone know how to stir some listener action?

| 29. Sirius left is a mystery. |
|
They have the Alex Bennett show on early, then an hour of Thom Hartmann, the Samuels come on for two hours.
She once called David Brock of Media Matters a nazi. I sent her an email telling her in restrained, polite language that she was full of shit and asked her why she was on a left station. She began a steady stream of return emails in which she was reduced to calling me names for daring to question her credentials. The emails were so bizarre and so frequent that I had to put her on my blocked senders list. It really amounted to stalking. She is nuts and no friend to any liberal/progressive cause.
My husband;s theory is that they have her on for two hours and Thom only for one because she is cheaper than Thom. I ended up canceling Sirius. If that is the example of a progressive voice in this country - who needs it? They do more harm to us than good.
