With the unemployment rate remaining high, it keeps wages low.

| 7. No, and especially the Beltway Media...if they were 1/4 as concern about Wall Street, then |
|
there would be entire Channels dedicated to the well being of the American working class.
From wages to health benefits, these take a back seat to Wall Street numbers and power plays over stupid political rhetoric.

There are exceptions, of course. But, the vast majority are more concerned about elections than getting things done for the greater good.

Not Washington & not private industry.
There's no easy answer to joblessness, so the jobless are ignored by everyone.

| 15. They only care about the poor (and the rest of us) when they are trolling for votes. |
|
Otherwise, they only care about Wall St. and the rest of the wealthy donors that helped them achieve power. One hand washes the other and both major parties are the same in this respect.

I think that both parties have pretty much accepted the idea of a two tier economy - one for the rich and one for the poor. there doesn't seem to be any desire for government to be involved in legislating anything that would provide an equitable distribution of wealth.

With a few noble exceptions, not including the White House, they only care about holding on to their positions and/or lining their pockets.
