| NPR seems to be pumping up Romney's chances for being the GOP nominee this morning |

Edited on Thu Oct-06-11 09:34 AM by Proud Liberal Dem
They were talking about all of the wealthy donors (one of whom used to support Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton) apparently flocking to Romney. Now that Palin and Christie are out of it, it seems like, based on their report, the race is likely to boil down to Romney or Perry (which is actually probably accurate). Anybody see the potential for a Romney/Perry ticket and what would they look like up against Obama/Biden in 2012?

| 1. I suspect Perry would be low on Romney's runningmate list |
|
and I'm not someone who thinks Romney has the nomination sewn up against Perry. Way too many powerful Romney haters on the right.
I hope I'm wrong. People who think Mitt would be harder to beat than Perry are suffering from serious myopia.

interesting piece and perplexing as well.
Remember that TeaParty Group who ran a Bus--Tea Party Express--all around the country. That group has fundraiser promotion. Up until recently their Fundraiser page had a picture(not flattering_ of Obama. Theme: Send us money to stop OBAMA.
Curiously now: the picture has been changed to guess who. STOP ROMNEY.
The Freedom Works Group(Armey) seems to be of like mind.
This seems to be subterranean but these groups cannot be ignored. They were most active in getting the Tea Party to jooin the Republicans.
They do like Perry either.
IMO, there are no other viable candidates at this time.
What do you think is going on??? Third Party??? Just wondering.
