I was totally against this or any payroll tax cut. (My belief) And now they might be pushing for it to be permanent?

Barrasso also stated that he wanted to make it easier and cheaper for private sector to create jobs. Then he uses Harold Ford Jr's statement on moratorium on regulations. As if because Ford was elected as a Democrat should make a difference?

1. This is why the Senate should be elected by population density.

In that case WY would have one Senator while CA would have something like fifteen. The assholes from the underpopulated states like him and Ben Nelson wouldn't have the power they have.

This is a calculated move to underfund Social Security and Medicare to make it ineffective and eventually null and void. I was against the cut for this very reason, that those Grover Norquist following Repugs would push to make it permanent.

2. Dysfuncional Senate

The 20 states with the smallest population have the same total population as Califoria, yet have 40 senators. It's a miracle anything progressive ever passes. In the next years it will be impossible for any Democratic president to do anything positive. Of course the electoral colege ssstem is all screwed up thesame way. We need a new system of government.
