Help me help you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGt5f70K02QThough I think that he has been hinting along these lines, the proof is in keeping the Occupy movement alive. Get it? ;-)

Thanks Enrique :hi:
I don't get it. Honestly. Sure I have been all around the block with regards to Obama. Up - down - all around - but the fact is he is our best bet right now.
Sure, he disappointed me when he came into office. I expected all sorts of good stuff. Me - along with many others here. I finally had to take off my rose-colored glasses and realize what he was up against. The REALITY of the situation. You know - how Washington REALLY WORKS??? And since he wasn't a natural millionaire, in a way, he had to play by their rules....like it or not ya'll!
I am sure that he has made many mistakes along the way - most notably I don't really think in my heart of hearts that he expected nor anticipated such a staunch oppositional party of "No" across the board.
I think for a time, he must have (naively) figured that by surely being the "adult" in the room that others would just naturally follow suit. Right? I mean, that's what most level-headed folks do - right? Not!
President Obama is the most intelligent, insightful President to come along. He's not perfect but neither are we. I think in many ways he appointed Republicans in positions to mainly get into their heads and understand where they were coming from. That is my speculation at least.
Would YOU want his job?????

for life. Life time office help, body guards and on and on and on. I suspect most Americans would.

| 4. He's been pretty much saying that since before he was elected. |
|
The whole "I can't do it alone" think he mentioned in pretty much every stump speech. That was a call for a populist movement.

He can't do it alone. Hopefully the Occupy movement IS the populist movement that he hinted at. Just makes sense when you stop to think about it ~ Thanks for pointing that out.

To be completely honest with you, the only time I really heard that saying was during like Thanksgiving or something and some relative was taking an extra helping of mashed potatoes while saying that.
I don't mean to sound facetious at all, but what does that really mean to you? god helps those who help THEMSELVES? Honestly.
