Given how loudly and unendingly the whole idea of a primary challenge was flogged, and how some people insisted at every turn that Obama would be completely destroyed, it kind of says a lot that no one was even willing to try. Not to mention that Obama's popularity with Democrats is still extremely high, and his popularity in the general polls is surging.
