Why should we consider advice from business leaders on correcting economic problems?

They are the ones for the most part that made contributions to those elected (Republican) congressional members that caused the problem. All they care about is lowering their tax rates.

We on the left often say that the GOP and the right wing is unable to handle complexity ... that they see the world as black and white.

It doesn't help if we do that too.

Since government =/= business. Realistically, we should be considering advice from people who run successful non-profits.

Basically, he's saying not much of anything. He's blaming circumstances, or whatever. He's basically saying we're fucked if we didn't win the birth lottery, and it's not going to get better any time soon.

Running one business gives a person no experience on the big picture. They only have to run that business. And they only have to answer to its owners, not to something like the voters.
