| Has Newt released his grades from college and grad school? |
|
If not, I'm surprised...he's such a smart man...you'd think he'd want us all to know just how smart he is.

| 1. While I don't like or support Newt in anyway |

Being smart does not equate to good grades. I don't like to brag about it but I have a high IQ but I have never been particularly good at school. It's for a variety of reasons that I won't go into here but the point is that straight A's does not mean your particularly smart, just that you work very hard.

| 2. I have a relative who is a frigging genius, and he did very poorly in school. |

He has an extremely retentive memory, too--but only for things that interest him. He had a somewhat passive-aggressive attitude towards learning things that weren't appealing to him!
He did horribly in school, so I know what you mean.
Of course, Newtie is such a proud and competitive fellow with a very good opinion of himself, I would imagine he worked hard to beat out his peers in the academic game.
