Tough to break out of an ideology once it's been ingrained.

And our economy owned by China, already wrecked with few options to spend as we need for job creation and building back up from the bottom. Despite his wanting to do all those things.

I think he's proven to be above average on domestic issues. Surely getting healthcare (even if people piss on it) this close to completion has to count for something, right?

First President to get at least half of a universal health care bill through Congress and we're ready to declare him a failure. We Democrats are a fickle lot.
And the FIRST person who wants to shout that it's not "really" universtal health care better be able to name a President who has done MORE.

various health care bills? Other than a very weak bully pulpit and continuous back peddling on every "requirement"? I know kicking ass and taking names is not his "style", however, milquetoast is not my idea of a strong President. When and if a healthcare bill, in it's current or close to current form, gets passed, no one will be celebrating more than the boards and ceo's of the insurance companies. In the mean time President Obama has never once suggested that the legal bribes of the insurance industry are gutting every bill offered up to this point. He never sent a bill to the congress! He was a strong campaigner and a very weak President.
Using complete failure as a baseline doesn't mean much.
Please set me straight on this without the personal attacks usually seen in these posts. Really, I personally like the President, I just think he's doing a terrible job.

and the administration is, albeit slowly getting in place and finding its legs.
"Grab a mop" is a great line, but it has to be more than just a platitude.
Members of the administration especially have to grab those mops and show others change they can believe in....
