Is there a way to hide forums from appearing on the discussion page

so that one can not see a new thread that is started in said forum.

1. Only the General Discussion: Presidency forum.

That functionality is a holdover from when it was the GD: Primaries forum.

2. Has anyone else shown any interest in "hiding forums" ?

3. Yes, it is something people ask for fairly often.

I think there are some parts of the current GD forum that people might appreciate hiding. Maybe if we split them up again, like we did during the primaries, it might make DU a little more pleasant for everyone.

4. I would like the option of hiding R/T new threads from scrolling down

my discussion page.
I see madinmaryland would like to hide Guns.

I understand it is not a priority but, it would be a nice option. Thanks.
