I submitted this letter to you a few years ago.
Dear Skinner, EarlG and Elad

At this time of year more than any other I find myself thinking of little children that may not have anything for Christmas. I’m not talking about just presents I’m talking about food or a place to live.

I’m writing this to propose a fundraiser for children like the one DU has every quarter.
Du could also challenge other sites to meet or beat the donations. I have read that the republicans give more than Democrats and we all know a site that might want to prove that.

I also understand there may be complications and things I don’t know about that comes with the responsibility of a charity drive and appropriation of the funds.
I was thinking it could go for Toys for Tots or food shelves or make a wish foundation and I’m sure there are many other foundations that are in need.
I can visualize Santa and his sleigh flying across the top of the pages of DU in place of a boxing glove.

You then started a food drive that was VERY successful. I was wondering if you were thinking about it again for this year? I am sorry if I missed any announcement you may have made.

1. We usually do a donation drive for Feeding America in December.

I have been super-busy, so I have not done anything for it yet. I will try to find some time to do it soon.
