However, somewhere along the line I counted up that I now have about 70 people

on IGNORE!!!

Yet, when I move around the website, I certainly don't see enough "ignored" posters

to account for anything like that.

So -- here's my question: If I put someone on IGNORE and they leave and re-register

under a new username, do you reapply the 'IGNORE' status to them that existed before

they changed their names?

Iow, I think that probably those I have on IGNORE have checked out and then come back

under new usernames -- and all of us who have had them on IGNORE have to go thru the

process again!!

If you put someone on ignore and they leave and re-register, we have no way to reapply the ignore status.

Maybe some of the people you are ignoring were banned, which is why you're not seeing them around. Or perhaps they're just not posting as much. DU is a pretty big site so your ignores may appear few and far between, even if you're ignoring a lot of people.

I know a few were banned.

Usually I go a long way before putting anyone on IGNORE -- so also usually they are frequent

posters.
