| It may not be my place to say this but there was major spamming in the GLBT forum last night. |

| 1. I would agree that is spam. But I told the moderators to allow it. |

This was a difficult situation. The moderators were trying to do their jobs and had locked a few of Sub Atomic's threads but I told them to stop for a couple of reasons. First, because by locking his threads they merely infuriated him further, causing him to post more spam. Second, because I believe we received more alerts from GLBT forum members complaining about the locks than we did about the spam posts themselves.
Unfortunately we're at a point now where it's very difficult for the moderators to act in the GLBT forum because whenever they do they get accused of acting in bad faith. That makes dealing with situations like this -- where a GLBT forum regular goes off on a posting jag -- practically impossible to deal with. If this had been some stranger, some random person who had just decided to flood the GLBT forum with crap, then the moderators would have taken action without question. But because it was a respected member of the GLBT community doing it, we had no good options.
Please understand that I didn't tell the mods to step back so Sub Atomic could merrily spam your forum, I told them to step back because I felt that under the circumstances doing nothing was the least worst option for everyone involved. Unfortunately that means your forum got spammed.
If you find what Sub Atomic did to be problematic, my only suggestion at this point is to take it up with him privately and let him know that his behavior was not appreciated. I don't really think it would be appreciated if the admins or mods were the ones to deliver that message.

As a Gay Christian (I know thats rare here), it was a double edge sword for me. I really like Sub Atomic but last night my last nerve was pinched.
Thanks for taking the time in this matter.
