Mark Foley not running for mayor of West Palm

Update Mark Foley announced tonight he will not run for mayor of West Palm.

“Over the last several months many friends, neighbors and community leaders discussed with me the possibility of returning to public office as a candidate for the great city of West Palm Beach,” Foley said. “There are many aspects that hold great appeal. However after much prayer and consulting with my family over the last couple days I’ve come to the conclusion that is now is not the time.”

Foley said he had to consider the thoughts of his partner, Layne Nisenbaum. He said they enjoy traveling and the lifestyle they are currently living.

Foley said he will be 100 percent committed to helping the next mayor.
