| So, now that bin Laden is officially dead, and al Qaeda has been run out of Afghanistan, |
|
Can we end this war now? Mission accomplished and all that? Isn't that the original reason we were in Afghanistan?
If not, then why are we going to continue to stay involved in the illegal, immoral war in Afghanistan/Pakistan? What is the objective now? What will victory look like?

| 1. I doubt it is a simple as that. |
|
But there are plans to wind down that war, as you probably know.

Like I said above, we've accomplished our original objectives, so why stay involved in this war?
As far as plans to wind down, I've heard a range of sometime no sooner than 2014 all the way out to 2017. Why? Again, we've accomplished our objective:shrug:

| 3. Victory will look like marching bands and confetti as our troops return home |

| 4. That's nice and all, but when? |
|
What further purpose does it serve to continue to prosecute this war?
