Here's a stupid meme I've found reposted several times around facebook.
"Let's be clear on this: OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden. An American soldier, who Obama just a few weeks ago was debating on whether or not to PAY, did. Obama just happened to be the one in office when our soldiers finally found Osama Bin Laden and took him out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory!! RE-POST IF YOU AGREE!!!"
Obama was debating "whether or not to pay" the soldier? Really? I seem to remember that it was the republicans who were threatening to shutdown the government and make it so the soldiers would not be paid, but lets not let reality get in the way of a good story. Yes this is an American victory. But to say Obama does not deserve any credit is just plain stupid. Is this stupid crap gonna be the next republican talkin point?

Let's be clear. Bin Laden did not kill anyone in the World Trade Center or the Pentagon. He ORDERED that it be done. Obama did not kill bin Laden. He ORDERED that it be done.
Was bin Laden still responsible for 9/11? Yes.
Was President Obama responsible for giving the order to kill bin Laden? Why yes, he was.
This in no way detracts from the work the SEAL team did, but they'd be the first to tell you that they're the tip of the spear, and not the policymakers.
Edited to add: 50-someodd minutes since I posted the reply--all crickets so far.

Seriously, I'm flattered that you and the previous poster had an interest in using it. Please do; elaborate and expand on it, make it your own. This "meme" is a foolish one, easily slapped down.

Bin Laden didn't actually kill anyone on 9/11 either, but he gets the credit. Yet Obama didn't actually kill anyone either and he doesn't get the credit?! Charles Manson is confused.

... it takes a leader to make that happen. The SEALs did a great job. So did everyone involved to make it happen, Obama included.

Obama micromanaged this killing. There is video of him sitting next to a General in command of operations while Obama the Commander and Chief calls the shots as they look on in real time as it happens.
Obama Rocks! Bush is a war criminal.
