Koch: Obama didn’t contribute ‘much at all’

Billionaire conservative oilman David Koch is debunking President Barack Obama’s role in the operation that tracked down and killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

“All that Obama did was say ‘yea’ or ‘nay,’ we’re going to take him out or not. I don’t think he contributed much at all,” Koch, a longtime financier of right-wing causes, told New York magazine.

New York caught up with Koch Monday night at the Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Spring Ball.

Koch is a major giver to cancer research: He and brother Charles Koch, owners of privately held Koch Industries, are also financiers of groups seeking to limit and roll back regulation of cancer-causing chemical emissions into the environment.

Koch is also, as New York put it, “rabidly-anti-Obama,” and told the magazine:

5. He reworked national security by putting the best people in place,

charged them with the task, stayed on it,analyzed and reanalyzed intelligence, consulted experts and made sure all the arrows pointed to Bin Laden. He then chose the best plan to get him. He assumed the work and accepted the responsibility for the decision he made.

With him lies that honor. He got Bin Laden!He is the one in charge. Thank you Mr. President.
