Who said "Even Napoleon had his Watergate" ? |
|
Wish him a happy 86th birthday. One of my heroes from back in the 1950s - 1960s when I was young.
" A nickel is worth a dime anymore"
"I just want to thank everyone who made this day necessary."
"I never said most of the things I said."
"I wish I had an answer to that because I'm tired of answering that question."
"I'm not going to buy my kids an encyclopedia. Let them walk to school like I did."
"If you ask me anything I don't know, I'm not going to answer."
"Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical."
"Even Napoleon had his Watergate."
"Nobody ever goes to that place anymore, it's always too crowded."
"It's deja-vu all over again."
"It ain't over 'til it's over "
"Never answer an anonymous letter"
" I usually take a two hour nap from one to four"

3. Sorry to be so nit-picky, but |
|
no one would have said "Even Napoleon had his Watergate" until at least 1972.
But "Even Napoleon had his Waterloo" was a saying.

6. He said it later, and it's his 86th birthday so, I'm guessing |
|
Samuel Goldwyn? No wait. He was famous for similar sayings.

4. Bill Mazeroski? No, wrong but he did watch Bill's home run go over |
|
his head in left field at Forbes in 1960, game 7 bottom of the ninth.
