It is 5:14 am, Sat, May 21st on Caroline Island, the first land mass west of the International Date Line. According to the believers, starting at 6pm local time, 21 May, the beginning of the rapture will be ushered in by an earthquake that will hit everywhere at 6pm, local time, traveling around the earth in 24 hours....


For us West Coasters, that gives us 21 hours to get ready once the earthquake starts.

local time around the world, taking 24 hours to circle the earth.

That means when it starts at 6pm on Caroline Island, the West Coast will have 21 hours until it comes around. The East Coast will have 18 hours to wait.
