Here's why: The value of her "brand" diminishes if she doesn't. And I believe that for her it's all about the money. Just think, Palin and Bachman going up against one another. Throw is Cain and Newt and you have a real 3 ring circus.

|
And she is terrified of being asked about the Giffords shooting.
I think she wont run.

| 6. Well, that is a bit of a problem, isn't it? |
|
It's a problem for any Republican running for POTUS. Certainly, there are many in the GOP who are articulate and can think on their feet, but none can defend their corporate agenda and policies that screw the majority in favor of a very small minority. In Sarah's case, she's not bright enough to lie deceptively. She reminds me of Bush in this way - both were blessed with huge ego's, but neither have an intellect to match.

leave the field, the pressure is on her to put up or shut up. But I also think that quitting as Governor of Alaska probably cost her any chance of ever being taken seriously.

|
She knows her fellow GOP idiots, who have supported her and tolerated her for the last three years, would turn on her quickly to beat her in the primaries. They will shred her.
And she would lose so much money from her speaking engagements.
No way she will run.

since. She was a one trick pony in many ways that trump was in that, him without the birther gig had nothing else to offer.

| 14. Barbara Bush revealed what the repub elite think of Palin when she said, |
|
"I wish she'd stay in Alaska."
George Bush was a puppet. Palin is a loose cannon. She'll buck the repub elite just so she can brag to her fans that she bucked the repub elite. She's a maverick after all. Palin may run, but she won't be on the ticket.
However, they will use her to fire up the base & generate lots of anti-Obama hate.

|
The Repub extreme whackos may be ready to nominate someone like Palin.
It would certainly be an interesting four years, dismantling health, education, welfare, building a free-fire zone along the Mexican border.
She'd be a GWB-type prez, taking lots of vacations and leaving the dull, governing-stuff to some rabid veep.

| 16. Interesting post. There are so many factors involved...I think |
|
1. Is she smart enough to figure that out? (diminishing brand)
2. Say she doesn't run...she'd campaign for the GOP candidate gratis, right? I know she is making a lot of money speaking now, right? Candidates don't pay for people to speak on their behalf, do they? So either way, she makes little money for the next year, right?
3. I think for her, it's an ego thing too. Remember, she's a narcissist...so I can see her dumb ass saying to her family..."My country needs me."
4. On the other hand, maybe she just might have someone smart enough around her that will tell her O is unbeatable. In that case, she may say...ok, I'll stay out, look like a saint by supporting the loser, and be in prime position in 2016
5. On the other hand, she was demented enough to instantly believe she had the smarts to be vice prez...I always thought this was the one defining thing that made her crazy. Normal people would know they weren't ready/qualified. I always likened this personality flaw to a first year med student being asked to perform a heart transplant, and responding, "Sure, no problem"
