should congress fund medical studies |
|
to solve whether or not people are born gay or not or if there is a gay gene? There seems to be a lot of noise and bickering over an issue that quite frankly shouldn't be an issue. If we can actually figure out whether or not gays were born this way or choose to be that way, then the issue will no longer be one.

1. How about if we stop interfering in other people's lives |
|
and stop with the puritanical views on sex? Can you imagine how many tax payer dollars that would save if we stopped fighting the right of people to make their own decisions with regard to who they are in love with?

2. Yes, right after they finish funding the vital "Why are some people left-handed?" project |

It's nice that Congress has the funds to throw at these important issues, rather than wasting money on the poor and sick.

4. Homosexuality isn't a choice. |
|
Goddamn.
I wish people would get over that. Homosexuality isn't like going to the store and picking out a candy bar or what cereal you want in the morning.
What a stupid question.

because if they don't find something then it will be claimed that people choose to be gay, and if they do find something then the haters will choose to not believe it just like evolution or climate change
it is a lose - lose situation that spends taxpayer dollars on something ridiculous
everyone deserves equal protection under the law and you shouldn't need a DNA scan to obtain it

who are opposed to gay rights who would change their minds if they found out that it isn't something you choose.

10. Maybe those people should use their heads, |
|
why would anyone "choose" to be gay? If you are hetero the thought disgusts you, only if you are gay would you even have the desire. And I guess people just "choose" to be assaulted or humiliated...just so they can have sex with someone of the same sex? Right...just think about it.

12. or they might even try to figure out what equal protection under the law means |
|
ya know
for everyone
Even if they believe something is a choice why would that change the rule of law?
