China is winning the green technology race.

3. Germany subsidized the installation of roof mounted solar panels...

and now generate enough electricity to replace 13 nuclear plants. Now Germany is a small, somewhat cloudy and cold country. The United States is a large land mass with billions of roofs and a lot more sun in most places than Germany. Also homeowners don't install the solar panels, companies and workers do which would supply thousands of jobs.

It's win-win.
