He flat out said that the press failed to explain what these wars would mean and THE FACTS ON THE GROUND

Joe tried to counter with the "professional left protestors" who protested in 2004 and 2005 and so on (as if those protests got a 20th of the news coverage that the Tea Baggers get)
Bernstein said that the lack of a draft changed the equation. "Would Senator Clinton have voted for a war if Chelsea had to go fight in it?"

He finished by saying that we have shown that there are different and better ways of fighting the war in Afghanistan.
