Felis Cattus, is your taxonomic nomenclature, an endothermic quadruped carnivorous by nature? Your visual, olfactory and auditory senses contribute to your hunting skills, and natural defenses.
I find myself intrigued by your subvocal oscillations, a singular development of cat communications that obviates your basic hedonistic predilection for a rhythmic stroking of your fur, to demonstrate affection.
A tail is quite essential for your acrobatic talents; you would not be so agile if you lacked its counterbalance. And when not being utilized to aide in locomotion, it often serves to illustrate the state of your emotion.
O Spot, the complex levels of behaviour you display connote a fairly well-developed cognitive array. And though you are not sentient, Spot, and do not comprehend, I nonetheless consider you a true and valued friend.

And for those of you who are wondering what people (like me) with Asperger's Syndrome are like, Data offers a pitch perfect example. People have actually told me I remind them of Data, which I take as a great compliment.

especially how Data and Picard finally beat the Borg Queen. I also LOVED how Data turned the Borg's standard "assimilation line" back over on her.

That cartoonist read my mind....I thought of the Borg Queen right away when she blabbed about her "titanium spine". Also, has anyone else noticed the frightening resemblance she bears to the "Betty Bowers" character from Landover Baptist?

Made up metal, but much stronger than titanium. At least according the STNG technical manual. Yeah, yeah. I'm a super geek about STNG. GAC

MAJOR all-things-Star-Trek fan here, too. Which makes me sometimes refer to the republi-CONS as Ferengi (all but Quark, Rom, Nog, and Moogie, that is).

Quark was the ultimate republican. A capitalist mercenary who has idea after idea, that are mostly the same, that always fail.

Got my pic taken with the actress who played the queen in First Contact and the final episode of Voyager. It was probably the biggest geek moment of my life.

The movie had more people watch than the aggregate number of new viewers in the Voyagers run.
I know what you mean, but the numbers work against your point. By a factor of almost 5. GAC

| 26. Side note: the Right's use of "assimilation" for immigrants always struck me as odd |
|
I am probably a level 4 Treckie but when I first heard them say "these people must be assimilated" I was confused as to whether they didn't know what most people associated that with or if that was a "tell".
