Broken water pipe causes Sieber Residences evacuation

It isn’t known what caused the water pipe to break on the six floor of the historic structure. According to its website, the Sieber was built in 1928 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. It has 30 apartments and eight loft style apartments. The hotel underwent extensive renovation in 2006.

Raw sewage leaking into Animas river


There is a nasty mess along the Animas River through Durango, Colorado.

A pipe is leaking and raw sewage is flowing into the river.

City officials said the sewage has been flowing directly into the river since at least Friday.
