I--we on the left--have nothing to tone down. I just spent a dee-lite-full hour or so looking at the comments in the AOL news, and my own local paper. With very few exceptions, every comment is vitriol directed at liberals. Once in a while there might be some innocuous comment saying that we really don't know the shooter's political affiliation or pointing out that he did specifically target a Democrat. Those comments are immediately met with showers of insults, name-calling, and yes, violent rhetoric.
So again, quit telling US to tone it down, quit telling US it's both sides, because it is not.
