Plus $40.99 for shipping one box. :grr: As a family, we've decided that we won't give them gifts (the grown daughters) and they don't need to give us any. We did it that way last year, and everyone was relieved. Christmas is for little children anyway.

| 8. Our extended family draws names and everybody buys one gift with a $50 limit. |
|
So I do all my Christmas shopping with one $50 Amazon.com order.

But I've also 'adopted' five kids this year in two different families. I have to say - I'm in a good spot financially. If it means a couple of little kids have something to open on Christmas day - then so be it.

about $275 total. About $50 each for my parents and my niece and nephew. Less for everyone else. My parents will also get a couple of matching art glass plates that I made. The plates would probably sell for over $300.

| 12. I have extra gifts from last year (thank goodness) |
|
We buy all locally made gifts. This year we're making rope toys for everyone's dogs, homemade catnip toys for the cats (we give pet gifts too) and german honey cookies for neighbors and friends. That will help keep the budget down a bit.
