| California Watch: State's teacher supply plummets... |
|
Edited on Wed Dec-15-10 10:10 PM by YvonneCa
... http://californiawatch.org/dailyreport/states-teacher-supply-plummets-7436The number of Californians seeking to become teachers has plummeted by 45 percent over a seven year period – even as student enrollments are projected to rise by 230,000 over the next decade and as many as 100,000 teachers are expected to retire.
Teaching is clearly becoming a less and less desirable profession for Californians.

...were devised for teachers to jump through to earn and then keep their jobs. Maybe we are finally reaching the 'hoop that broke the camel's back' in California. :7
