| Planned model airplane attack and assassination of Awlaki connected? |
|
Of course, we don't have any inside intelligence but these stories are almost too close together to separate. Perhaps the President and his family were threatened? We don't know. This is all speculation on my part, I will admit.
As I have said before, and I may in the minority here, but I think President Obama has been a very good foreign policy President. If you threaten us, we will take you out. If you are living with terrorists, you forfeit any claim of American citizenship. You cannot use that cover. You cannot kill American citizens and expect to be protected.
One thing I think we can agree upon. It is nice not hearing the Republicans run their mouths about how the terrorists are out to get us. Obama is taking that off the table for them. Thank you very much. You are welcome.
Also, isn't Yemen the place where the American Navy ship was blown up and many sailors died? I'm certain many folks there celebrated that event? I doubt they are celebrating today.

| 1. I suppose that's possible, but it'd be pretty hard to prove. |

You're right, though about the Cole incident. Yemen has tacitly allowed Al Qaeda to operate within its borders, apparently, despite its association with the United States, which has military facilities, primarily naval, there. It's always a delicate balance in that part of the world, it seems.

| 4. Shouldn't the threat be proven before we kill someone ? |
|
You create a threat out of whole cloth: Maybe the remote controlled-airplane attack plan was connected to the assassination of the alleged American terrorist. "Perhaps the President and his family were threatened? We don't know. This is all speculation on my part, I will admit."
This is grounds to kill another person? This is justification to kill? Speculation, no proof in a court of law?
My God, YOUR God, what have we as a nation turned into?
