SACRAMENTO, CA - Two years after running away from its yard, yard, a long-legged Chihuahua whippet mix named Cooper returned home after being found in the Florida panhandle last Thursday.

5. There was a story in the local rag's animal column about a stray cat missing for 4 years

Recently it started hanging out in the right person's yard, because after feeding it for a while and noticing how friendly the cat was, she called a rescue to trap the cat. The cat was chipped and even though the owner had moved away the rescue was able to contact the owner and the cat was reunited.

9. Well, it might be somewhat insulting to them...

I'm not sure if they resent the name "fur people" as in
people, skin people, are pretty fucked up as a rule.
However, my fur people are all exceptional as far as "people" go
so I put my faith in humanity in them.

I have a little Chihuahua and if she disappeared, I would be devastated. I made a note to get her micro-chipped on our next vet visit.
