Is it dignified? Is it sincere? Did any of you give a shit when the guy was alive?

| 1. actually, yes, if you're referring to Jobs. |

I cared. This man has had a profound influence on my life -- my work is centered around Macs, I would not be where i am today without it. I've always known how important he was.

My job is a very big part of my life and identity. I'm very proud of my work. My computer work as a hobbyist, digital photography, has been a joy. The Mac has helped make it possible.
Maybe there's something YOU don't understand. Jobs is responsible for many of the innovations that have since been copied by other computer and electronics manufacturers. Starting with recognizing the value of graphical user interface (GUI) and making it mainstream.
This man has had a major impact on how we live in the electronic age. Call it dramatic if you want. I call it profound.

Were around to trade histrionics when Jesus or Gallileo died.
I'm starting to see how serious you are about this. I just don't understand this depth of emotion for a person you never met.
I too, would chuckle at the myth of Steve Jobs sitting with pencil and paper and sketching out the schematics of a working iPad and its software. Maybe better that you keep your heroes. I hope none of them turn out to have feet of clay as I fear the disappointment would be too much for you to bear.

That's just one thing to think about.
That we know what's going on in NYC on Wall Street is another.
There's lots more but I'm sure you get my drift.
