Herman Cain: If you've been laid off, you're a loser who deserves what you get

Unemployed Wall Street protesters only have themselves to blame for lacking a job, so says Herman Cain.

The Republican presidential candidate insisted that the demonstrations were being "orchestrated" to help President Obama.

"I don't have the facts to back this up, but I happen to believe that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies of the Obama Administration," Cain told the Wall Street Journal.

The Tea Party favorite then argued that the plight of the unemployed was their own fault.

"Don't blame Wall Street, don't blame the big banks, if you don't have a job and you're not rich, blame yourself. It is not someone's fault if they succeeded, it is someone's fault if they failed," the ex-Godfather's Pizza CEO declared.

15. I'd like this bloviating toad to say that to my husband's face.

He gave 15 years of nights and weekends and 24/7 on-calls to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Last week, EDMC under the auspices of Goldman Sachs decided that the Art Institute doesn't need quite so much IT expertise, nor does the help desk need to be open after 5 in the evening (even though classes run until 9:30).

The organization also decided that the services of 25 other loyal, long-serving employees were redundant.

Come say it to my husband's face. Tell him that he's a failure because he worked hard to provide for his family, paid his taxes, and did everything right. And when he says it to my husband's face, he'd better hope I'm not around, because I cannot promise to hold my tongue (or anything else).

On edit: this makes me so mad that I feel like walking away from my desk and driving down to OWS right fucking now. Unfortunately, I need my job, so it will have to wait for the weekend. :grr:
