WITH his ratings at record lows, scandal-hit Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi today quipped his party should change its name to "Go Pussy!" in the latest gaffe likely to incense swathes of voters.

"We will change the name of the People of Freedom because people no longer carry it in their hearts," the 75-year-old told lawmakers from his ruling coalition in parliament, Italian news media reported.

"We will examine any suggestions," he added.

Berlusconi then reportedly joked: "I'm told the name that would have the biggest success is 'Go Pussy!'"

the Italian right would be considered a centrist party here in the U.S. Don't confuse U.S. right and left with European right and left.

15. Italy has major problems with sexism and misogyny. It's really bad there from what

I've heard from a couple of women I know who went to Italy as exchange students several years ago. For example, men approach women in the street and tell them if they think they are dressed inappropriately. The men there are also apparently very sexually aggressive toward women in a way that would be completely unacceptable in America. I've heard all kinds of enraging stories that made me very glad that I don't live there.
