Republican strategist Karl Rove and Minnesota Rep. Erik Paulsen (R) were both separately showered with glitter Friday at the Minnesota Faith and Freedom Coalition strategy session.

The group supports an upcoming ballot measure to define marriage as solely between one man and one woman in the state’s constitution. The conference awarded Paulsen with a “Friend of the Family” award for his efforts to put the constitutional amendment on the ballot in Minnesota for 2012.

“You’re no friend to my family!” yelled Michael Cahill, as he ran past Paulsen and showered him with glitter.
